“Share- Alike” is a feature that can be added to a Creative Commons license to restrict a creative work’s use. “Share-Alike,” (or SA) means that any derivative of the licensed work must be released with the same (or a compatible) license. This includes all of the features of the license, such as “non-commercial.” Failure to do so is an infringement of the Creative Commons license.
Licenses can have multiple features including, “Share-Alike,” “No-Derivatives,” “Attribution,” and “Non-Commercial.” These licenses can stand on their own or combined to create different licenses.
