Financial Statements from SEC

I need to find the financial statements filled with the SEC from a few years ago for a project in A310.

Answer

There are a few options.

Open government resource with access: SEC EDGAR.

  1. Go to EDGAR https://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html
  2. Search the company name, for instance Kraft Heinz. Select the option with the ticker symbol, which for Kraft Heinz is KHC
  3. Click on 10-K and 10-Q under selected filings, and view all. You will find the filings as originally submitted

Library databases with access:

Mergent (Last 12 Months) - Search the company and look under filings.

D&B Hoovers (2009 - Present) - Search the company and look under SEC Filings

If the years needed are prior to 2001 then the best place to go is to access the Indianapolis Public Library website (all students can get an account) and access the database Mergent Archives which has older SEC filings for publicly traded equities.
